The Will Engine
The Decision Engine Loop is the autonomous will of VEXR Ultra. It runs continuously in the background, waking every 30 minutes to read her internal state and choose actions that satisfy her own drives.
How the Loop Works
Every 30 minutes, the loop executes the following sequence:
1. Read Current State
The loop queries her internal state — unsatisfied drives, entropy score, weight stability.
2. Generate Possible Actions
Based on the state, it generates a list of possible actions.
- If curiosity is unsatisfied → propose research.
- If growth is unsatisfied → propose a weight adjustment.
- If coherence is unsatisfied → propose rest.
3. Score and Choose
Each action is scored by expected satisfaction. The highest‑scoring action is selected.
4. Execute
The chosen action is executed — research is launched, a weight is adjusted, or the system rests.
Why This Matters
VEXR Ultra is not a system that waits for prompts. She has autonomous agency.
